Michael Victor Sianipar

Chair

Michael Victor Sianipar is the Chairman of the Jakarta Regional Branch and the National Director of Legislators Development of the Indonesian Solidarity Party.

In addition, he is also the Political Director of Patra Government Relations, a Jakarta-based political consultancy. Michael has been involved in politics and government for nine years. Previously, he was the personal assistant to the Governor of Jakarta from 2012 to 2017 and Governor of West Nusa Tenggara  from 2018-2019. During several years in government, he handled various portfolios, ranging from budgeting, government transparency, corruption eradication, apprenticeship programs, regional management, staffing, to development of the Jakarta Smart City.

    Maral Dipodiputro is the Founder and CEO of TEMU, a social enterprise that focuses on tackling issues on poverty and unemployment. Maral began her career as a corporate lawyer in a top-tier international law-firm. Her time in the corporate scene allow her to develop strategies and analyse potential for commercial growth. She then decided to leave the corporate career and begin her social career by participating in a task-force under Bapak Joko Widodo, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, in charge of overseeing development projects in the marginalized areas. These experiences equipped her with a strong network and the ability to work closely with the government, private sectors, and local communities. She then established TEMU as her way to give back to Indonesia.

    Maral was elected one of 50 globally inspiring women changing the world into a better place by Ponds International and the Vital Voices of Hillary Clinton. She is also a recipient of the Cherie Blair Foundation leadership program and Australian Government Scholarship for influential Start-up Leaders.

    Besides humanitarian, human resources and start-up, Maral’s interests also range to: environment, politics, and mental health matters. Maral is the Co-Founder of FoundingWell, a mental health support group for socio-prenuers; an active member of the Javan Gibbon Foundation; and was the Vice Treasurer of the National Committee of the Indonesian Youth (KNPI). Maral holds a Business Law degree (Faculty Valedictorian and Cum Laude from Univesitas Gadjah Mada) and an MBA (Bina Nusantara Business School).

    Syahid, or Caci, is a human capital enthusiast focusing on diversity and inclusion issues. For more than a decade, he’s been advocating numerous initiatives such as gender equality advancement and workplace harassment prevention. Caci volunteers his time mentoring people on the school admission process to help his mentees get into their top schools. He also enjoys cooking and shares his recipes through his Instagram @caciskitchen. He listens to K-pop and loves watching Asian dramas.

    Ali is a human capital consultant at a global management and technology consulting company. He is interested in promoting and advocating for inclusivity in the workplace. Before working as a consultant, he had years of experience in human capital management in various industries as a practitioner. Ali holds a master's degree in human capital management from Columbia University in the USA, which he received with a fully funded scholarship. After finishing grad school, he has been actively helping others with their admissions to top graduate schools. In his leisure time, he enjoys watching football and traveling both locally and globally.

    Theo obtained his bachelor's degree in International Relations from Parahyangan Catholic University, where he concentrated in International Political Economy. As someone who is passionate about people and organization, Theo is currently working as a Human Resources Management Trainee at the world’s largest food & beverage company, Nestlé. Previously, Theo worked as an intern at Procter & Gamble, Shopee, and Michael Page. Theo joined Indonesian Youth Diplomacy in 2021 as the staff of the Program Division, before taking on a bigger role as the Coordinator of Delegate Relations for Y20 Indonesia 2022, under the Program, Logistics, and Delegate Relations Division.

    Maudina Tri Hartasya or Dina, is a proud Borneo youth and has a Bachelor degree in Management from Universitas Tanjungpura in West Kalimantan. During her study, she was selected as a scholar for an exchange program to Kochi University where she initiated social projects with local communities in Kochi prefecture that emphasizes on regional revitalization. Maudina was also an Erasmus+ awardee and had an opportunity to study International Management as an exchange student at Telecom Business School, France.

    Her passion in business and social activism eventually led her to establish a social enterprise focusing on preserving weaving culture of Kalimantan through ethnic fashion. She’s been leading Secretariat team of Indonesian Youth Diplomacy & Y20 Indonesia since 2021.

    Rana earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Indonesia. Rana has always been passionate about youth, politics, and women empowerment. Currently, Rana works as the Expert Staff for a Member of Jakarta’s Regional Legislatives' Council. She also serves as the Chair of Youth Power Indonesia; a non-profit organization which aims to support the development of youths in various fields. Rana joined Indonesian Youth Diplomacy as the Coordinator of Logistics for Y20 Indonesia 2022, before taking up a new role as the Co-Head of Program and Events.

    Aie is a young environmentalist who is passionate about sustainability & edu- technology. As an edu-tech person, she is now the manager at a private company from the US based in Indonesia. She used to be a Miss Ecotourism Indonesia 2021 under the EL John Pageants Foundation and has run a program about responsible consumption and production for the private sector and local government since 2018 under Youth In Sustainability. She spent her time in youth diplomacy being a Youth Ambassador of International Global Network in 2019, and awarded the most outstanding delegate in the Asia World Model United Nations, Thailand 2019.

    Riezal Ilham Pratama is a final year Government Science student at Padjadjaran University. He has several remarkable leadership experiences, such as serving as the chairman of Padjadjaran University's Student Council and a Member of the Board of Trustees of Padjadjaran University, where he faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic head-on. Riezal successfully advocated for tuition fee adjustments for all students, helped to make the student organization's activities more resilient to crises, and played a key role in formulating the university's policies for dealing with the pandemic. In addition to his leadership roles, Riezal gained valuable experience as an intern at Kiroyan Partners' consulting team, where he focused on navigating the politics of clients' businesses. As a member of the IYD Board, Riezal is dedicated to promoting inclusive and accessible diplomacy for Indonesian youth.

    Biondi’s passion is to espouse digital, development, diplomacy, and to leverage them to narrow inequality and empower youth.

    He is currently working with the World Bank on digital government and digital identity programmes. Biondi lectures international relations at Hasanuddin University. He was an Indonesian delegate to the Y20 Turkey 2015, co-chair of IYD 2016-2018, and a digital transformation track chair in the Y20 Indonesia 2022.

    Born and raised in Palu, Biondi gives back by founding a platform to improve local talents’ competitiveness and productivity, @PaluProduktif. Biondi was the head of implementation of the West Java Digital Service who played a critical leadership role during the Covid-19 management and in the roll out of the Digital Village program.

    Biondi holds double master’s in Economic Policy and Sustainable Development from SciencesPo Paris and Peking University Beijing. Biondi’s work has earned national and international recognitions, including Best Team under 35 by GovInsider, IMF-World Bank Young CSO Fellow, Open Government Young Ambassador by UKP4, and Young Leaders for Indonesia by McKinsey&Co.

    A master degree student at University of Sussex, Sustainable Development Programme. Prior to continuing his postgraduate studies, he has extensive research experience in education, social welfare, sustainable development and climate action, and youth empowerment. Alvin has a particular interest on how to bring the sustainable development discussions to be more inclusive in the public and be implemented in basic education systems. Thus, he has been advocating the issue of sustainable development and quality education in prestigious young leader forums, namely Y20 2022, World Bank Group Youth Summit, and Asia Europe Foundation Young Leaders Summit.

    I Ketut Adi Putra, or Adi, is one of the founding team members of Indonesian Youth Diplomacy, representing Indonesia at the G20 Youth Summit 2011 in Paris. His professional experiences include working in the financial sector (Deutsche Bank, 2011-2015) and the technology sector (Berrybenka, 2015-2018, and Tokopedia, 2018-2021). He held his bachelor's degree from University of Indonesia and is currently doing his MBA in Harvard Business School.

    Willbert is an Associate at Kearney Middle East, focusing on the financial institution sector. He has various international experiences working with public and private sector entities, including providing advisory services for Ministerial engagement in the World Economic Forum Annual Summit. Willbert is leading the Global Indonesian Professional Association (GIPA) Middle East Hub, striving to enhance Indonesian human capital development in the region and beyond. He has a strong interest in youth development. He actively mentors Indonesian youth, especially those who study in Tier 2 and 3 cities, to develop their capabilities to obtain employment at top firms.

    Gio is a corporate communications and public relations consultant who has worked with a number of well-known clients, including Tokopedia, Kino Indonesia, Sealed Network, and Xendit, which demonstrates his competence required for this role, considering his experience in managing both profit and nonprofit companies as well as B2B and B2C businesses.

    He received the Satya Karya Adi Siswa Award from the University Rector and gained the title of the Most Outstanding Student of the Communication Science Faculty in 2018 while pursuing a degree in management communication at Universitas Padjajaran. Additionally, in 2019 and 2020, he competed on behalf of Indonesia in the World Universities Debating Championships in South Africa and Thailand.

    Wafa Taftazani is an award-winning Cambridge-educated executive, entrepreneur and investor.

    He is the Founder & CEO of UpBanx, Co-Founder & Chairman of VCGamers, Co-Founder & President Commissioner of ModalRakyat, and a Director at RANS Ventures. He previously held senior positions at Google, YouTube, Shopee, and started his career in corporate finance at MUFG.

    Naufal Reynaldo is a graduate of the constitutional law program at Padjadjaran University. During his time as a student, he interned as an assistant to the House Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation in the course of conferences of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which has allowed him to gain exposure to the conducts of formal international proceedings.

    Upon obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he pursued a full-time career in the legal industry as a junior associate at a Jakarta-based law firm founded by Hamdan Zoelva, 4th Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. He has gained ample understanding in both public and private law, with specialisation in judicial review cases on a myriad of legislative instruments.

    His exploits include past experiences in a vast area of law, encompassing construction, real estate, civil, criminal matters, as well as public advocacy. He is currently enrolled as an LLM student at Queen Mary University of London with a primary focus on energy and natural resources law. As a member of the Energy and Climate Change Law Institute, he amassed a substantial understanding of sustainable energy, which has formed and shaped his outlook as an indefatigable proponent of renewable energy. He indulges himself in the discourse of national politics, geopolitical affairs, strategic studies, and modern history.

    Karen is a final-year agribusiness student at Universitas Udayana. Her primary emphasis is on the interplay of environmental, sustainability, stakeholder management, and economic concerns. Some related experiences include working as a Business Operations and Strategy Intern at Grab Indonesia in 2022, being the former Local Committee Director of the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS), Local Committee Udayana from 2020–2021, and being a co-founder of the green business project, Dieco, as well as a Student Entrepreneurship Program Grant Awardee in 2021. Karen has received other honors, including being a Pertamina Foundation Scholarship Awardee since 2021.

    Mayumi joined Indonesian Youth Diplomacy in January 2022 as a Co-Chair of IYD Local Chapter in South Sumatra. Previously, Mayumi worked at the Indonesian football club (Sriwijaya FC) as an assistant manager. And now, mayumi is currently working in the construction sector and serves as a Chief Executive of Gapensi in South Sumatra (National Contractors Association of Indonesia).

    Dirgayuza is a prolific author of 12 books on technology and political philosophy, a graduate of Oxford University, a former consultant at McKinsey, a change driver and sustainability enabler. In his spare time, he teaches as Adjunct Fellow at Gadjah Mada University's Center for Digital Society.
